What You Need to Do
To ensure the safety of all attendees, please note the following policies and recommendations for the SURF2022:
- Mask Requirement: All attendees are required to wear protective masks throughout the meeting, except when actively eating or drinking, or when speaking from a lectern that’s 2+ meters away from others. Masks should cover the nose and mouth, fit snugly against the sides of the face, and ideally should be 2-3 layers of tightly woven fabric. To be effective, masks must be worn correctly.
- Vaccination: We ask that you attend the meeting only if you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Advance Registration Requirement: There will be no onsite registration. You must register before you arrive onsite. Therefore, we strongly urge that you register by September 11.
What SURF and the Venue are Doing
SURF is working with the conference venue to provide a safer environment for the Symposium:
- Large session rooms are guaranteed to allow for better social distancing. The exhibit hall has a wide main aisle to improve traffic flow.
- The conference venue has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection, particularly in areas with high traffic. They also are utilizing enhanced technologies to support their already rigorous cleanliness protocols.
- Hand sanitation stations will be available throughout the buildings.
